Public Accommodations are licensed by the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) Food & Consumer Safety Section (FCSS) and inspected by Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS) from the CCHD Environmental Health Division (EH). Public Accommodations include:
All new Public Accommodations must go through plan review and obtain a DPHHS Public Accommodation License. Before any construction or remodeling takes place, a plan review application must be completed and submitted to CCHD, along with the plan review fee and required documents listed in the application. After the plans are approved and the establishment is ready to open, CCHD will perform a preopening inspection. Upon successful completion of the preopening inspection, a Public Accommodation license will be issued, and the annual license fee will be collected.
