2019 Growth Policy Review

At the Cascade County Planning Board meeting held on April 16th, 2019, the Cascade County Planning Department was directed by the Cascade County Planning Board to initiate the review process for the Cascade County Growth Policy (CCGP). The CCGP is an official statement of public policy to guide growth and manage change for the betterment of the county and its communities. The current CCGP was adopted in May 2014 and is approaching the five-year review required pursuant to Section 76-1-601(3)(f)(iii) Montana Code Annotated. The basis for assessing the need for revisions is provided in Section 10 of the CCGP. This page has been created to facilitate public access to relevant documents, information, and meeting materials relevant to this process.

Next Meeting

The Cascade County Planning Board will be holding a public hearing on May 21, 2019, at 9 am in Room 105 of the Courthouse Annex located at:
325 2nd Avenue N
Great Falls, MT 59401

This meeting is to consider whether revisions to the Cascade County Growth Policy will be necessary. The public notice is available here. Meeting materials for the May 21st Planning Board Meeting may be found on the Planning Board page.

Participation

Any interested person may appear and speak for or against revising the Cascade County Growth Policy at the May 21st public hearing and/or submit in writing any comments to the County Planning Department Office:

You may also submit your comments by email to the Planning Department. The Public Comment Form (PDF) is provided for use in submitting comments. Comments will be accepted on a continual basis throughout the process, however, to be included in the meeting materials for the May 21st Planning Board Meeting, comments must be received by 11:59 pm on Monday, May 13th, 2019.
