Disaster and Emergency Services

The mission of Disaster and Emergency Services (DES) is to save lives, reduce property damage, and protect the environment; Coordinates the efforts of all response agencies and departments in preparations for coping with all emergencies or disasters. Satisfies the requirements for mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery programs.

DES also works closely with the County Rural Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Rural Volunteer Fire Districts, and the Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) in the surrounding towns.
